Cesco Solutions, Inc. seeks to employ a Chemical Sales Engineer in Bellingham, Washington. The Chemical Sales Engineer focuses on developing collaborative business relationships with Cesco’s clientele and affiliates, while providing technical support to other sales personnel to achieve the same objectives. The Chemical Sales Engineer creates and maintains business relationships intended to maximize economic gain for our customers through innovative and cost-effective chemical treatment programs.

The duties for Chemical Sale Engineer position include:

  • Optimize the performance of chemical equipment and processes for Cesco’s clients through problem-solving, repair and maintenance, inventory control, and order placement.
  • Apply understanding of the principles and technology of chemistry and engineering to assist clients in diagnosing and resolving problems with chemical manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Assist clients in engineering applications of chemical solutions for safer environments.
  • Identify ways to ensure clients are compliant with federal and state safety and environmental regulations.
  • Expand Cesco’s petrochemical, food processing, pulp and paper, and water treatment markets in the U.S. Conduct initial sales calls using a “who, what, where, when and how” problem-solving strategy,applying knowledge of Cesco’s chemical products and services to specific customer needs and settings.
  • Interface with customers, vendors, and company affiliates daily and provide effective communication about business matters. Meet with clientele, survey opportunities, test possible chemical solutions,and propose best chemistry trial product(s).
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and promoting the sale of company products
  • Provide technical support to other Cesco experts. Assist with efforts and develop/promote appropriate application technologies and collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess chemical equipment needs and to determine system requirements. Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs.
  • Communicate with operations personnel to assure complex chemical products are produced and delivered in a satisfactory manner to clients.
  • Utilize software systems to document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers and suppliers.
  • Input sales data into the company’s e-Chempax customer management system (CMS) each day for review by Sales Manager or President
  • Participate in daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and semi-annual sales meetings
  • Train to update skills in technical expertise, marketing, and management.

The minimum requirements for the position are a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline. The position also requires two years of experience with specialty chemicals such as cleaners, sanitizers, and detergents for use in large commercial and industrial projects. The position also requires 20% travel to various unanticipated locations to meet with clients.
